Lord Infamous Passes Away

I really hate to report on sad news but According to DJ Paul’s and Da Mafia 6ix publicist Dove Clark, Three 6 Mafia member Lord Infamous passed away last night (December 20) at his mother’s home in Memphis.
“He did pass away at his mothers house last night in Memphis,” Clark said during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “The cause of death is unknown. We’re actually trying to figure out how he died and that is all the information we currently have.”
Three 6 groupmate Gangsta Boo also tweeted about the matter, calling the death a “tragedy.”

“Rest in Peace Lord Infamous,” she said via the social media site. “Please respect the family and dear friends during this tragedy.”

Raider Klan headman SpaceGhostPurrp, who appeared on Three 6 Mafia offshoot group, Da Mafia Six’s latest release, 6ix Commandments, relayed his thoughts over Twitter about Infamous’ death.

“R.I.P. Uncle Lord Infamous,” Purrp said. “Y’all stay blessed man #RIPUncleScarecrow.”

Lord Infamous was one of the founding members of Three 6 Mafia. Along with Juicy J and DJ Paul, Infamous appeared on all of the group’s early releases and would release his debut solo effort, Lord Of Terror, in 1994, which preceded the group’s breakthrough independent release, 1995’s Mystic Stylez. He was the younger half-brother of DJ Paul and also participated in creating 6ix Commandments, which was released last month.

Chris Kelly of Kris Kross, Dies at Age 34

Chris Kelly, one-half of the 1990s rap duo Kris Kross, died Wednesday at an Atlanta hospital after he was found unresponsive at his home. He was 34.

How Kelly died isn’t known,

Kelly was found unresponsive and transported to Atlanta Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, a spokeswoman for the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Officer.
Kelly’s death is being investigated as a drug overdose, Fulton County police Cpl. Kay Lester. An autopsy is planned for Thursday morning to determine the official cause of death. Kelly, together with Chris Smith, shot to stardom in 1992 with “Jump,” which spent eight weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.

Going by the stage name Mac Daddy (with Smith known as Daddy Mac), the pair was known for wearing their clothes backward during performances.

Kelly and Smith were 13-year-olds when they were discovered in 1991 at an Atlanta mall by Jermaine Dupri.
The duo followed up their smash “Jump” with the single “Warm It Up.” Together, the songs pushed their debut album, “Totally Krossed Out,” to multiplatinum status.
Next came 1993’s “Da Bomb.” But the album failed to find the following of the duo’s debut, in large part because the boys had hit puberty and they were marketed with a tougher image.
Their career never again reached the heights of their debut, but they continued to make music.
In 1996, the duo released the album “Young, Rich and Dangerous.”
Take a look at the song that made them famous “Jump”
This is so sad to hear. RIP Chris Kelly, (Daddy Mac)
